How long does it take to upload photos?

The initial upload typically takes the longest, because usually that’s when a user syncs the most photos at once.

The sync speed depends on the amount of photos you’re uploading, the number of places your uploading from, and your internet connection. Syncing could take a few hours, days, or possibly even a week for people with tens of thousands of photos. We even will notify you when all your photos are synced, so you don’t have to go back in and keep checking.

But good things come to those who wait, because once your photos are synced, they are backed up, organized, tagged and viewable in whole new ways. Plus, we'll create custom collections and fun facts just for you - and the more truly does make the merrier when it comes to the number of photos.
